 El futuro perfecto expresa una acción terminada en el futuro y anterior a un acontecimiento también futuro. Veamos este ejemplo.

             – Cuando termine la cuarentena, habré engordado 10 kilos.

 La primera oración nos muestra una situación futura, puesto que todavía no hemos acabado con el virus y la cuarentena. La segunda, en la que usamos el futuro perfecto, indica una acción terminada de una escena transcurrida en el futuro. En este caso, la finalización de la cuarentena. El futuro perfecto tendrá que estar complementado por una acción futura.

La estructura de futuro perfecto es la siguiente:

            – HABER (futuro simple) + PARTICIPIO

El verbo haber lo conjugamos según el sujeto y su forma en futuro simple.

FUTURE PERFECT, or not so perfect

We are about to finish with COVID-19 and we need to remain vigilant. With this example I would like to encourage you to have a healthy life and do sport in order not to have health problems or put on 10 kilos like our Spanolito.

We use the future perfect for a future situation that have finished before the completion of a future affair. Let see this example.

            – Cuando termine la cuarentena, habré engordado 10 kilos.

             – When the quarantine ends, I will have put on 10 kilos.

The first sentence shows us a future tense, because we haven´t beaten the virus and the quarantine yet. The second one, where we use the future perfect, indicates a future fact that is finished. In this case, the end of the quarantine. The future perfect needs a future tense to be complemented with.

This is the future perfect structure: 

– HABER (future simple) + PAST PARTICIPLE

The verb “haber” is conjugated depends on the subject, taking into account the future simple structure.
